Locker Brand Inc. is a Las Vegas, Nevada based company which focuses on consumer products which secure specific types of items from misuse, whether it be a product that keeps your food items like candy bars, sodas, or fruits from your roomates or co-workers, or harmful substances from your children.

Fridge Locker

3dyn was approached by Locker Brands to develop and inexpensive product that would be used in your home, dorm, or office refrigerator, to protect your snacks and beverages from wandering hands. While the product is not intended to store items of high value, it is certainly a deterrent, keeps your items cold, ventillated, and fresh, in a easy to clean, easy to use product.

A simple 6 piece snap-together frame structure is very compactly packaged for shipping from the manufacturer to the retail seller. The use of durable lightweight plastic keeps manufacturing and shipping costs to a minimum.

An an initial hand-made metal prototype was shown to 3dyn, from which 3dyn engineers created a 3D CAD model, in which weight reduction, assembly simulation, and packaging concerns were all addressed prior to making plastic prototypes.

Low-cost plastic CNC molds were produced to cast protoype components out of rapid set, rigid urethane. These cast componets were cast in high pressure vessels to compact and trapped bubbles, and simulated injection molded components, which were then assembled into a fully funtional test unit. This test article was then used to create promotional images, used for packaging and advertising, while production molds and components were sourced overseas.

3dyn was able to take this product from the first stages, create a 3D represtentaion both on screen and in-hand, through production sourcing.

Rx Locker

Similar to the Fridge Locker, the Rx locker was designed as an inexpensive deterrent from children gaining access to prescription medications. The Rx Locker can store at least 4 large prescription bottles, with combination lock security.

3dyn produced 3D CAD models of the Rx locker, optimizing the size to fit a range of prescription bottle sizes, while minimzing the cost and weight of the product. Due to the success of earlier products, such as the Fridge Locker, Locker Brands, Inc. was confident enough to enter production without the need for hand made prototypes.

Production units have been made, and now carry the endorsement of noted substance abuse psychologist, Dr Drew Pinsky.
